| Key project objectives | Implementation of the curriculum for the optional course “Decisions for a Healthy Life Style” in vocational schools and colleges during the academic year 2011-2012.
Note: Teachers will participate in a 3 day training program in November, which will show the teachers’ how to effectively teach the course “decisions for a healthy lifestyle” (35 academic hours, 17 sessions) during January-May 2012 to a group of first year students at their respected institutions. The teachers will be paid from project sources.

- Creţu, Veronica - Creţu, Nicolae - Dr. Sclifos, Lia - Lîsenco, Serghei - Obreja, Galina Curriculum for the optional course “decisions for a healthy lifestyle” was developed during the years 2009-2010, and was piloted in four vocational schools in Moldova, in Cahul, Floresti, Stefan Voda Alexandreni, and Singerei. -Over 100 first year students of the pilot vocational schools; - Over 100 teachers from the pilot vocational schools; - Over 100 key players in the pilot communities engaged with young people / teenagers; - Over 50 parents. The pilot course was attended by 100 first year students from each of the 4 pilot institutions, and a group of 256 students were involved as controls. As a result of piloting the course, a comprehensive report assessing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of students who attended the course was created. Curriculum for the optional course “decisions for a healthy lifestyle” was reviewed in the development, implementation and evaluation (October 2009-November 2010) from a number of national experts and organizations in the field: Dr. Nadejda Velisco, Head of Higher Education Division, Ministry of Education On June 16, 2011, Ministry of Education signed an agreement of collaboration with the CMB Training Center, which provides implementation of teacher training programs for teaching the curriculum in vocational education institutions. As part of the “decisions for a healthy lifestyle” curriculum a Teachers’ Guide and Student Workbook were developed and piloted within the course. A Key skill that the curriculum focuses on is decision making. Content that is addressed within the course: Topic 1: Introduction. SELF-EVALUATION own way of LIFE Theme 2: gender stereotypes and DECISIONS THEME 3: THE ROLE OF VALUES IN DECISION-MAKING Theme 4: VIOLENCE AND DECISION-MAKING THEME 5: Sexual Abuse THEME 6: Puberty and Adolescents – AGE CHANGE THEME 7: hygiene.
