Mrs. Sclifos is a Doctor in Pedagogy, and holds a PhD with the Institute of Education Sciences of Moldova.
Lia is currently acting as a National Coordinator of the ‶Education for All (EFA)/Fast Track Initiative (EFA FTI)” project implemented by the Ministry of Education and Youth (MEY).
In this capacity, Mrs. Sclifos works closely with Minister and Vice-Minister of Education. Lia is responsible for the overall implementation of the program in Moldova, but her primary focus is quality assurance in the elaboration of curriculum programs for the early and pre-school education, as well as for children development standards, and teachers development standards.
During the last 10-15 years, Mrs. Sclifos has elaborated several curriculum programs, methodological guidebooks, publications, research on various issues.
The vocational education curriculum elaborated by Lia includes: ‶Education for Community Development”, ‶Education for European Integration”, ‶Civic Education”, ‶Vocational Counselling and Guidance”, ‶Education for Health”. Additionally, Mrs. Sclifos worked with UNIFEM, UNAIDS, ILO, World Bank and other international organizations in the elaboration of curriculum, standards, etc.
Mrs. Sclifos’s rich experience in curriculum elaboration, training and capacity building programs bring an enormous value to this project.
