World Bank Strategy on Education

Over the past few months, World Bank and its offices in different countries around the world, have been consulting with stakeholders around the world as part of the process of developing the Bank’s new Education Strategy for the next decade. I have participated in the consultations (Phase 2) in Moldova, and it has been a very interesting sharing of ideas and suggestions on the proposed document.

These discussions with government officials, civil society groups, academics, donor agency staff, teachers, parents and youth have made clear that the education challenges we all face are immense and diverse, and these conversations have been tremendously helpful in putting together WB draft Education Strategy.

It is extremely important for the community of Critical Thinking Practitioners from all around the world, to advocate for integration of Critical Thinking into the list of core skills the WB puts emphasis on!

This can be done through the online platform of the WB, as feedback is still expected from the wide community by November 30th.
